Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma blessed with a baby girl

 

NEW DELHI: Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his wife, the Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, were blessed on Monday with a baby girl.

Kohli, who is on paternity leave, went to share the news on Twitter.

Kohli made the announcement that he and his wife are finally parents to a baby girl. 

“We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon,” he said. 

We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat (sic)." he added

In August 2020, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma revealed that they were pregnant. They had said at that time that their baby will be born in January 2021, which proved to be the case. "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021 (sic)." In an Instagram post announcing the pregnancy, the couple had posted.

Anushka had earlier announced that she would resume working on films in May 2021.
