Pakistan People's Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and his father, former President Asif Ali Zardari, were invited to the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Joe Biden.
The
father-son pair were invited to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Democrat Joe
Biden, scheduled to take place on January 20. The oath-taking ceremony is
supposed to be attended by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, but Asif Zardari can
not attend the ceremony as he is classified on the Exit Control List.
Sindh
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah visited the United States last month and met with
members of the Democratic Party, sources said.
It is
important to note that the governments of Asif Zardari and Obama have worked
closely on various projects.
On the
other hand, after hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump, stormed the
U.S. Capitol in a harrowing January 6 attack on American democracy.
